Share calendars on a LAN, VPN or WAN
One or more calendar files can be created and shared by placing them on a network accessible by local users via a LAN or remote users can access via WAN or VPN. Once made available on the network, the file can be opened by any users with a local copy of The Calendar Planner installed (required for editing). Multiple users can view the file simultaneously while one user at a time creates or updates the file. The software provides notification when a file is being edited by another user, preventing issues with conflicting edits. Users can also be automatically notified when a shared calendar has been updated and instantly refresh the calendar to see new changes.
Publish calendars as web pages
Providing web access to users in your organization is simple with The Calendar Planner. Any file can easily be published as a web page. You can even filter the calendar by date range and choose what to show and hide prior to publishing. Many programs can produce 20 or more separate files that have to be published. The Calendar Planner allows you to save your entire calendar as 1 file that can easily be published on your web site or shared locally on your intranet or network.
Import and Export
Import and Export information to and from programs like Outlook, Excel or even Databases using formats like CSV, TAB and XML. Working from a shared Database, MS Exchange or Web Calendar? All your information from The Calendar Planner can easily be exported to or imported from your shared system using the CSV, TAB or XML formats. You can even retain all your event's styles and colors!
Publish Calendars As PDF
PDF calendars are also a great method of publishing read only versions of your calendars since anyone can quickly open and view them. If you already have a PDF driver installed you can simply print your calendar to PDF. If you do not, after purchasing simply contact us and a representative will provide a free PDF driver for you. Calendars can be easily filtered by events as well as by date to only publish exactly what you want.
Share and Combine Calendars
Some situations may require that individuals each work on their own local copy of a calendar. For example you may have users who work remotely for extended periods of time, with no access to your network. Or you may simple want to combine multiple calendars into one so they can all be published to the entire group. This can also be easily accomplished using our calendar software. Each calendar or portion of a calendar, can easily be imported into one file and each placed in their own folders. This single calendar can now be published and even filtered using our show and hide features. Future updates can simply be re-imported to update this "master" calendar.
