Free Calendar Updates
The 5.2 version of The Calendar Planner was released in August, 2007 and is free for all registered users*.

The 5.1 version of The Calendar Planner was released in June, 2007 and is free for all registered users*.
Following are some of the new features you'll find in the 5.1 version.
- Optionally have the calendar automatically grow to make room for more events. Now you can fit everything you need in your calendar and never sacrifice readability. See this one of a kind calendar feature now.
- Events can now be set to automatically grow to accommodate additional text or you can disable to maintain complete control over event size.
- Added new Multi Month Views: 2 months, 3 Months, 6 Months, 8 Months, 9 Months and 1 Year.
- New smart wrapping, prevents unusable space from occurring when events grow larger than others allowing you to use all available space.
- Events can now optionally automatically include the names of the categories they are in. Ideal for easily seeing what events are associated to.
- Maintenance: Various enhancements and fixes.
The 4.2 version of The Calendar Planner was released in Jan, 2006 and is free for all registered users*.
Following are some of the new features you'll find in the 4.2 version.
- Import/Export: CSV (Comma Separated) and TSV (Tab Separated) import and export formats have been added. These will allow you to exchange information with other applications that support these formats such as Excel, Outlooks, and many other programs.
- Conditional Export: Now you can limit what is exported to only what is shown in the calendar or optionally choose All.
- Customize Web Calendars: A new customize web calendar section will allow you to adjust the web calendar style as well as add images.
- Show Event Time in Web Calendars: You can now publish web event start and end times in the web calendar.
- Edit Recurring Events: Existing Recurring Events can now be edited.
- Maintenance: Various enhancements and fixes.
Version 4.0 of The Calendar Planner Standard Edition was released on September 22, 2006 and is FREE for all registered users*. Stay tuned, new updates will be announced soon!
New features available in The Calendar Planner 4.0
- Link Events to Files: Now you can relate any file you have on your computer to an event in the calendar. Simply click on the event to open your file. Attach meeting agendas and notes to the meetings for example, or your own to do lists to events. Access them from your desktop or publish a web calendar that will allow the files to be accessed from the web.
- Add Links to Web Sites: Now you can add URLS to events that link to web sites from events or notes. These links can be accessed from within the software or from The Calendar Planner calendars published online.
- Category Rollup: You can now choose to display all events in a category or sub-category as a single banner. This allows you to "roll up" many events into a single high level representation of your schedule. Just as quickly unroll to return to a normal view and see all your events again.
- Built in Web Calendar Publishing: New FTP interface added to allow web page calendars to be easily posted and updated.
- Note Formatting: Notes now allow bullet lists as well as bold and italic style to be applied to text. Note style will appear in printouts and when published online as well.
- Find in Item List: You can now right click on an item in the calendar and quickly locate it ion the Item List. A great way to quickly locate an event in a busy calendar.
- Improved Time Display: New time display automatically uses the same style as the event name to make time easier to read and more consistent with the event style.
- Local and Shared Filters: A new shared Filter has been added. These filters allow a single filter (list of shown or hidden events) to be applied to multiple files.
- Password Protection: Files can now be password protected by choosing the Tools/Protect command.
- Selective Application of Style: You can now selectively choose which style changes are applied to events when applying style from the folder level. This provides complete control over how your changes are applied.
- XML Import and Export: The Calendar Planner now exports and imports XML. The published schema for this XML can be accessed online. Reel Logix will provide an initial free consultation on integration via telephone or email. Please contact a data integration specialist for more information. Additionally, customization can be negotiated, if required.
- New Flash Tutorial: A new online Flash tutorials provide detailed
overviews of features including a new Getting Started overview.
Enhancements and maintenance available in The Calendar Planner 4.0 - Performance Improvement: Additional maintenance and performance improvements allowing 10x faster operations with some files.
- Web Calendar Color Fix: Events published online now use the closest possible web color.
- New Keyboard and Content Menu Capabilities: More keyboard shortcuts and context menu access to various features and options.
- Date Reverts to 2005: The software will no longer revert to older dates when creating new projects but instead defaults to the current date for starting new calendars.
- Item Selection Ring: New more obvious selection ring added to selected events in the calendar view.
- Current Day Indicator: New highlight applied to current date to more easily see current day.
The 3.3 version of The Calendar Planner Standard Edition was released on Feb 27th, 2006 and is free for all registered users*.
Following are just some of the new features you'll find in the latest version of The Calendar Planner Standard Edition, the easy to use scheduling calendar.
- Save as Web page: The software now provides the ability to easily generate a web page. The page is generated as a single file, making publishing calendars simple. Web output will automatically resize to accommodate all items, even those that cannot be viewed onscreen. generate any date range you wish.
- Calendar Sharing Controls: We have further enhanced the popular file sharing support for those sharing one or more files over a LAN. Now users can set access control over files to control read only and edit access.
- Update Notification for Shared Files: The Calendar Planner now provides both optional audio and visual notification of calendar updates so everyone stays in synch.
- Quick Refresh for Shared Files: The update notification provides the ability to instantly refresh the file to show the latest changes.
- Color Coding In Item List: The new optional color coding provides a powerful new level of resource management. Allowing multiple uses of a resource in the calendar to use a color that matches the item in the Item list. this provides a simple visual way to instantly see resource usage in your calendar.
- Optionally Apply Style to Subfolders: Styles can now be optionally applied to all sub folders within the Item List Tree View. Style changes can now be quickly applied to thousands of items instantly.
- Show and Hide Sub Folders: New Hide and Show behavior improves the power of Show and Hide so all subfolders can easily be hidden as well with a single mouse click. This allows thousands of items to be shown or hidden instantly with a single click.
- Maintenance: Additional navigation enhancements.

- Show/Hide Days: Alone with the ability to resize day columns you can now hide entire days all together. Hide Saturdays and Sundays or show or hide any combinations of days.
- Smart Scheduling: You can now schedule items around your off days. This makes creating more complex recurring events much easier and faster.
- Auto Display Time: Choose whether or not you want to automatically display time in events. Choose Start only or Start and Finish times.
- Attach Notes to Unscheduled Items: This allows detailed information to be assigned to events before they are scheduled. Ideal for creating templates with contact information or other instructions per event for workout routines, tasks and more.
- Auto Skip Off Weeks: Automatic week counting will now account for entire weeks that have no working days.
- Notes for Multiple Occurrences: If a note is assigned to an event and that event is scheduled to appear on multiple days the notes will automatically be replicated.
- Maintenance: Various enhancements and fixes.

The 2.0 version of The Calendar Planner Standard Edition was released in Feb, 2005 and is free for all registered users*.
- Multiple Occurrences: This feature allows a single item in the list to have multiple "instances" in the calendar. So create any item in the list once and simply drag and drop it on each day it occurs on.
- Recurring Events: Now you can automatically create items to occur every day, week, month, etc. as well as set their durations, number of occurrences, etc.
- Multiple Folder Levels: Allows you to create multiple levels of folders in the list for managing multiple items better and even departments and multiple shows!
- Find/Go To: Allows you to quickly locate an item in the calendar or list from anywhere.
- New Templates: New detailed production templates are included and a Cleve Tools Holiday template listing union and federal holidays for multiple countries is now available as well to import into any project.
- Push Pull Workday Duration: The application will account for off days, allowing you to push or pull a single item, an entire folder, or even an entire project forward or backwards while maintaining each items original work day duration.
- View Browser: Provides the ability to easily jump between previous views and dates.
- Vertical Text Alignment: Align text vertically in banners and days.
