We are sharing calendar file and now it will only open as "Read Only"

Calendars can only be edited by one person at a time.  Read more about calendar sharing.  If only one person at a time is trying to edit and you still get this message see below:

If a calendar is shown as read only when it shouldn't be, this is normally the result of the read only flag being set on the file or permissions. Try the following:

1. Make sure all Calendar Planner programs have been shut down so the file is not loaded anywhere.

2. Right click the calendar file on the network drive and choose Properties. Makes sure the Read Only check box is unchecked.

3. If this doesn't work you may need to check the permissions on the folder being used to share to make sure read and write access is granted for the files.
